Here’s a technical (nerdy) talk by Rob Hummel, about quality & resolution of film vs digital capture. Reminds me of my days at Kodak (Rob Hummel was at Dreamworks in those days).

There is a very interesting comment Rob makes at the 8:00 mark about taking your digital gear in airplanes, killing pixels in the CCD. Imagine doing a lot of travel, over time you could kill lots of pixels.
