Food Biz

People often ask me how I got my start in the food industry.. Many years ago I helped a friend launch a hot sauce brand, All Spice Cafe – Gourmet Fiery Foods. I developed marketing materials, promotions, website, and eventually rep’ing the brand at events and trade shows, developing recipes, and working with co-packers and other vendors operationally.

Since then, I’ve expanded out to support other brands (including Unforgettable Foods, ChocoVivo, PopTacular Inc), with all aspects of the industry from conceptulizing products and recipe development all the way through to production, fulfillment, and distribution logistics.

As a generalist, I help these brands with pretty much anything they need, not focusing in any one area – tho my stronger points are working with graphics layout (labels, marketing collateral), product development (recipe development, sourcing ingredients and co-packers, production issues), and package design and sourcing.

My personal interest in food (i.e. eating flavorful and interesting foods) as well as my home cooking skills help me when it comes to understanding flavor profiles and the basics of food production.

I am always thinking of new ideas, products, recipes, you name it. It’s just a matter of the right thing, at the right time, with the right people. You never know, anything is possible! Most importantly have fun doing what you love (ref: DH) and it won’t be “work.”
